Board of Directors

Mariuta Osanu – President

A founding member of the Heart of a Child Foundation, Mariana has been involved in all the foundation’s activities, and has gathered a broad range of experience in working with street children and children and youth infected with HIV.  She has worked closely with the Heart of a Child team, especially in colaboration with other NGOs in Galati.  She is a maternal assistant and offers continual support to our children and staff.

David Keith Chronic – Vice President

David graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha in the United States with a specialization in Eastern European and International Business.  He became connected to the Heart of a Child team in 1998 and he has been invaluable in helping the foundation develop its structure and strategy.  He served as president of the Board of Directors from 2001 – 2004.

Elisei Parvu – Member

Elisei Parvu is the Executive Director of the Alfa Ceres business in Galati and has experience in financing, marketing and economics as well as in public relations and communications.  He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2005.

Marcel Maxim – Member

Marcel has a strong background in Electrotechnics, and began supporting the Heart of a Child team in 2004 and joined the Board of Directors in 2004.  He has been very helpful in aiding the foundation in its technical needs as well as working with our children and youth.

Eugen Iordache – Member

Eugen began work with Heart of a Child in 2004 and joined the Board of Directors in 2005.  In addition to his work on the board of directors, Eugen has provided support to the children and staff in a variety of ways, including teaching educational courses to high school children.
